The German company Auna stands for good sound and unique design. From the product range, the Auna C8 is one of the more powerful subwoofers, but is that enough for a convincing review report?
The design is typical for an Auna subwoofer. The black/silver combination for the cabinet and a blue interior, which is to be further enhanced by an LED interior lighting. The membranes are laughing at you and still look good. In short: modern and powerful, the Auna C8. With its size, it has to be mounted in the trunk, taking up space, but since it is a bandpass, the shopping bags can still be stacked without damaging the membrane.
For the subwoofer only high quality material is used and the workmanship is so good that nothing starts to wobble or comes off after a very short time. This reminds me very much of his colleague the Auna CB3-5050, and for the price there is a lot of praise for the developers in the construction.
I have mixed feelings about sound. On the one hand the Auna C8 has a very strong bass and on the other hand the sound is not precise. You will have fun with it if you have bass-strong music that has little vocals and melodies (e.g. techno). The right sound experience won’t come up like with some other subwoofers, but only few competitors can keep up with the bass.

The Auna C8 is a passive bandpass. With a size of 82 x 46 x 43 cm and a weight of 26 kg it has a full power of 2.000 Wmax, please do not confuse with Wrms! The Auna C8 stands out with a great construction, beautiful design and strong bass. Only the sound could use an improvement. For fans of strong bass, techno music and beautiful design, this is the right thing!
So much power needs suitable accessories. Important are the powercap, the right power cables and a good power amplifier. The cables should have at least 50mm² and the Powercap 1 F. The power amplifier has to match the power, you have to pay attention to the impedance and the wiring! You can operate the subwoofer with either 2 Ω or 8 Ω. If you want to get the maximum power and use the recommended power amplifier, bridge the connection at the power amplifier and connect the two membranes in parallel. Pay special attention to the connections on the subwoofer so that you don’t mix up + and –.
